Selflessness has got a name: Tugce

Tugce Albayrak was a young woman who wanted to intervene in a quarrel, was hit into coma and died.
Tugces death now brings up the question: What is wrong with a society in which a quarrel ends with the death of a person who wants to intervene?
To make this society a better one again, we’ll need more Tugces – more people who interfere if they see that others are mistreated or threatened, wherever it may happen. This does not necessarily mean that you’ll have to intervene in person. In some cases it might be sufficient to call the police.
Let’s hope that Tugce’s death has a positive effect on our society. This would mean that Tugce did not die in vain.
